Pierre, have you figured out how to set it up to actually read data from Holux ? Can’t make it work (always get an error message). I followed Jan’s instruction on connecting Holux via Bluetooth.

Jan, are you able to help me with iPhoto 09 plus OvoLab setup ? I see that OvoLab accesses my iPhoto Albums but only the jpg files.

I normally upload RAW to iPhoto (I am using Sony Alpha 350, Sony’s RAW – ARW files are incompatible with geotagging, I read somewhere). The point though, is that I can live with geotagging the JPGs being stored/created in iPhoto but do not know how to make iPhoto display geodata on its Places views – it does that when I manually tag the Raw file but they do not pickup the tags from their jpgs’ copies (which are edited by Ovolab). I am lost now. I do not want to give up the Raw format and don’t want to create duplicates (by shooting both JPG and RAW). And I would like to keep using iPhoto’s Flickr capabilities (which would work fine since iPhoto uploads jpg verions of pictures).

Any help would be appreciated !

You may be interested to learn that HoudahGeo 2.0 natively supports the Holux logger.

Thanks for the great how-to. I tried it out with the iPhone app Instamapper which allows for Google World KML data export. Worked perfectly!

Thanks for the tutorial, I was thinking of tagging my pictures since a while.
Now, if only the iphone 3G could have a nice gps logging software, that would be perfect (one less hardware to have on hand) :D
