Fleebailey's most recent pack can be found here.

Although I'm not using his kext collection, I only use the DSDT.

Cheers,

I have the same hardware setup listed here except for 2 Startech hot-swappable drive bays which work natively in Windows 7 and Ubuntu. I could sure use some help getting them working in Snow Leopard without having to reboot after plugging a drive in just to have them recognized.

Ant, the DSDT.aml is loaded automatically if it's in /Extra.

do i need to open com.apple.Boot.plist and write
"DSDT=hd(0,1)/DSDT.aml" something like that?

juro, I'm using the settings here:
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2008/11/06/overclocking-intel-core-i7-920/3

I have to say though that I didn't run any burn in tests with the exception of Geekbench.

Cheers,
Jan

@Jan, i setup a positive pressure cooling in my case with lower front and lower side intake. if i setup a negative pressure, the inside get a lot more dusty in no time. the top rear part of the midtower case i'm using is perforated so there is no issue on venting hot air on top of the case. with stock speed, it idle between 35C-39C. at the moment, am at 190BCLK x Auto multiplier, 1.3625V cpu, auto PLL, 1.3625QPI, 1.66v Ram and it idles at 43C-48C. with current setting at 3.8 i have no problem running Compressor or Adobe Media Encoder in osx. running prime95 on windows 7 x64, realtemp will display 100C on full load 8 instances and bsod after 30min.

juro, do you have a proper cooling concept? Fitting one huge CPU cooler isn't enough, you have to take care of the airflow in the tower as a whole.

just wondering if you can share your OC settings. i've tried different settings but everytime i pay attention to the temps i have to revert back to stock since most of the guides i follow will result in 50c+ idle and prime95 can shoot it all the way to 100c

I have a question: if I update to 10.6.3, how would I go about replacing the files and kexts that I have with these? This is the more confusing part about working with Mac OSX it seems. Any help?

Your speed increase is related to the turbo boost technology embeded in some new intel cpus (disables cores on the fly and turns cpu speed up to 133mhz). Basically and in your case, instead of 4000 you are running up to 4133 and so the increase on geekbench. You should mention that (c1e, speedstep and c-states must be enabled in bios) or else performance would be worst than running at stock cpu speeds.

I will post some bios screenshots in near future.

Have you enabled jmicron and is it set to IDE?
Read somewhere that setting it to AHCI fixes your issue. Mine is ahci anyway. If this is not the case I will look deeper. And look deeper regardless
